Leadership Philosophy

I've spent 25 years building and transforming technology organizations in hospitality and gaming—first at Royal Caribbean, then at Caesars Entertainment. That experience taught me something that shapes everything I do now: the organizational principles that make high-agency human teams effective are the same ones that govern successful AI deployment.

I believe transformation is evolution, not replacement. The question isn't whether AI will change how we work—it will. The question is whether we'll build organizations where humans and AI agents operate as genuine teammates, or ones where we're constantly fighting our own systems.

The best teams—human, AI, or hybrid—don't succeed because someone's directing every move. They succeed because they share context, trust each other's judgment, and know when to hand off seamlessly.

Whether it's a junior engineer or an AI agent, autonomy should expand as capability and trust are demonstrated. Start with guardrails. Prove reliability. Expand scope.

Practical Over Theoretical

I've led transformations with ample resources and transformations with significant constraints. Both taught me that frameworks matter less than execution, and execution requires honest acknowledgment of what's actually hard.
